| There
are two prime times to hunt mule deer. The first week of the season
which starts on or about September 17th or during the rut from November
15th to the 30th. A nice 4X4 mulie in this area will score about
160 points Boone & Crockett and upwards.
The
price of our six day mule deer hunt is $3,000 U.S. funds plus tags.
If you would like a mule deer and black bear combination the price
is $4,800 U.S. funds plus tags. Handicapped hunters can be accommodated.
For non-hunters we charge $100 U.S. per day. Success on our mule
deer hunts is between 80% and 100%. As with my black bear hunts
we only take four hunters per year in this area. A 308 caliber and
larger is big enough for these big gray deer.
Archery
Whitetails and Mule Deer
We
only guide two bow hunters per year in wildlife management unit
359. This area is without a doubt one of the best areas for mule
deer in Alberta. We hunt along the banks of the Mighty Peace River
August
25th is the start of the archery season. We hunt from tree stands
and by stalking the deer. Your chance at a Pope & Young book
deer in this locale are excellent. Shots can range from 15 to 30
yds. There is plenty of white-tailed deer in this area and it's
quite common to see them feeding right alongside the mule deer.
A six day combination whitetail and mule deer hunt is very economically
priced at $3,000 U.S. funds plus tags. As with all my hunts the
price includes meals and lodging. Hunts are all two hunters per
one guide. If you would like one guide per one hunter please add
50% to your hunt price. If you have any questions regarding our
hunts please call or e-mail and I will be happy to answer those
questions for you. Thank you for your interest in our outfitting
services. |
